I was part of the team behind Shopify Editions Summer '22 — the first in Shopify's semi-annual product showcase (launched June, 2022). I worked on the creative concept stage through to asset production, contributing to the "chicklet" design of each product and illustrating their respective hero images.

The homepage has a fun, bold, graphic typeface announcing the theme of the Edition.

We represented each product as its own “box” — and illustrated an abstracted representation of the product on each front.

We used googly eyes and fun elements to simplify the complex products into a fun accompanying visual.

SFN: Shopify Fulfillment Network represented as an octopus with many ‘logistics’ arms.

We mapped out the box’s mesh and our motion designer wrapped our design on a 3D element in order to make the boxes spin to reveal each side.

Our lean creative team made up of visual designers, motion designers, writers, and developers, sprinted in two week cycles to determine the concept, look and feel, web experience and more. Iterating and pivoting lightning fast (daily) when new ideas came in or directions changed were part of the creative process.
